Operius

Operius is a fast-paced arcade shooter where players fly through endless levels, dodging obstacles and blasting enemies in a futuristic tunnel. Created by Mors for the Opera GX game jam, the game was built in just 10 days.

In Arcade Mode, players control an arrow navigating through ever-changing polygonal tunnels, collecting upgrades by passing through hexagon-shaped gateways. These boosts improve firepower but only last until the next gateway—miss one, and your upgrades drop back down. Completing four upgrades in a row clears the sector, advancing to the next challenge. Obstacles, enemies, and bosses stand in the way, and a single hit means game over—unless you have a shield.

For those who prefer teamwork, Co-op Mode lets two players tackle the same challenge on one device, sharing upgrades and lives. If one fails, the other keeps fighting until both are out. Endless Mode throws players into a randomly selected sector, where survival time becomes the high score.

Players can check their best runs in High Scores or tweak settings in Options, adjusting difficulty, visuals, and controls. The game’s retro-futuristic style and unpredictable levels make it a solid pick for fans of action shooters.
