Eventually, you trade these objects for key pieces of information or necessary gear to keep moving forward. The sequel expands heavily on these interactions, meaning you will often find yourself doing random side tasks just to figure out your next step. And checking suspicious corners usually pays off by revealing entirely new hidden locations.
