Energy management changes the pacing of the game entirely. Finding cakes provides a temporary speed boost to your mining rate. It sounds a bit out of place for a gritty prison break, but mechanically, it keeps the momentum going. Players also have to prioritize their mine generator. Upgrading this machinery speeds up resource extraction, cutting down the grind significantly as you get deeper into the earth.
