Schoolboy Runaway
Schoolboy Runaway: A Strategic Stealth Escape Game
Schoolboy Runaway is a stealth escape simulation game that turns a relatable domestic lockdown into a tense puzzle of evasion. Players must outsmart strict parents and sneak out of the house to meet a friend after failing a math test.
The setup is grounded in reality. You aren’t infiltrating a military base or a haunted asylum. You just want to hang out with a friend who is waiting outside, but your parents have locked down the house. Escaping takes more than walking out the front door. The game gives players multiple endings depending on how they tackle the breakout. You might slip through the main hall unnoticed, find a route across the roof, or even figure out a way to trap your parents in a room to guarantee a clean getaway. Escaping once is just the start, as finding hidden codes on one run unlocks shortcuts for the next attempt. It keeps the trial-and-error loop from feeling stale.
Surviving the House Arrest
Success requires a surprising amount of patience. Your parents are the primary antagonists—acting like prison wardens—and their patrol routes change without warning. They will randomly drop by your bedroom to make sure you are still staring at a textbook. If they catch you wandering the halls, the game resets you back to your desk. Players have to listen closely to footsteps to track exactly where the parents are. Floorboards creak. Bumping into a piece of furniture makes noise. A single misstep usually results in a frantic sprint back to your room to fake studying right before the door handle turns. Stressful.
The house itself functions as a complex puzzle. Players have to dig through cabinets and drawers to find items for picking locks or setting up diversions. Tossing an object across the room or flipping a light switch can send a parent walking in the wrong direction. That simple distraction opens a tiny window of time to move forward.
