Friday Night Funkin’ made its debut on October 5, 2020, emerging from the creative cauldron of the Ludum Dare 47 game jam, a renowned game development competition hosted by Newgrounds. Initially featuring a tutorial, 2 weeks, and 6 songs, this rhythm game cast players in the role of the boyfriend, navigating a musical showdown to win the heart of their beloved.

From its inception, Friday Night Funkin’ captivated players with its infectious beats and engaging gameplay. The game quickly gained traction and earned widespread acclaim for its catchy tunes and challenging rhythms. Building on its initial success, the game’s content expanded, with 5 additional weeks, 15 more songs, and a plethora of new characters added to the mix.

Story:

You play as the “Boyfriend”, whom had to prove himself worthy of dating the “Girlfriend” in singing and rapping battle against arrays of different characters ranging from her Dad to her Mom.
