They are heavily modified street vehicles, and that gives the handling a uniquely grounded, weighty feel.

And the physics engine backs that up entirely. Taking a corner too fast usually results in spinning out into the gravel rather than a cool cinematic drift. Players have to learn braking distances through trial and error. Every track requires memorization and a distinct approach.
