Funkin on the Heights! Roblox FNF is a crossover rhythm game that pits Friday Night Funkin’ characters against familiar faces from the Roblox universe. After a development hiatus of more than a year, this completely revamped demo is back in action with fresh tracks and shifting player perspectives.

It took quite a while to get here. The creators paused the project for over twelve months before dropping this reimagined build. The time off clearly went into rebuilding the core experience rather than just rushing out a patch.

The first stretch of the game focuses entirely on Boyfriend. These initial four songs carry a bright, cheerful aesthetic that matches the upbeat backing tracks. He faces off against a rotation of opponents pulled straight from various Roblox games. Girlfriend remains on the sidelines to offer her usual support, though her character model has been completely redesigned. She now fits the blocky, geometric visual style of the crossover universe—a design choice that pulls more weight than you’d expect.

Then the roster changes hands. Players actually get to step away from Boyfriend and take control of Pico.

He brings his trademark raspy vocals to the stage, tackling a series of heavy remixes that alter the mood of the game. His presence feels distinctly different from the early tracks. And he brought backup. Nene stands behind him during these sets, keeping a knife on hand just in case the musical duel goes sideways.

Original animations drive the rhythm battles forward. The background art and character movements are packed with specific nods to Roblox culture that fans will catch immediately.
