FNF Blake Expansion

Friday Night Funkin’: Blake Expansion

Friday Night Funkin’: Blake Expansion is a fan-made rhythm game mod that bolts a huge amount of new music and story onto the original FNF. Players tap notes in time with the beat across rap battles, and this version stuffs in way more of them than the base game ever offered.

The headline draw is content volume. You get the full set of Erect mixes, fresh Pico mixes, original remixes of older tracks, and a batch of completely new songs. Characters get added too—Blake shows up, and Tankman makes a return appearance. It’s the kind of mod that feels less like a side project and more like a second campaign.

New Weeks and Story

Beyond the song dump, Blake Expansion adds full story weeks, including Week 8, Week 9, and a few exclusive ones. The writing leans dark for a rhythm game.

Week 8 drops Boyfriend into the Dearest basement, where Daddy Dearest locks him in with a glowing test-tube creature named Bingo—a family pet the household has been trying to revive through experiments, clones, and rituals. Things spiral from there. Brother Bearest crashes in wearing a rotting pumpkin (he lost track of what month it was), explains the mess, and challenges Boyfriend to a battle of his own. Then a separate entity called Monster bleeds out of that discarded pumpkin and forces a third rap-off. The twist is that half of what just happened was an illusion planted in Boyfriend and Girlfriend’s heads. Monster, it turns out, was a government project that broke loose and started hunting anyone tied to the Dearest family.

Week 9 shifts gears. Nene, still bitter after failing to take out Boyfriend in Weekend 1, tails Pico to her parents’ store and ambushes the couple with thrown knives. Boyfriend battles her across two songs, and the standoff ends only when Girlfriend turns Nene’s own knife back on her using her powers. Pico hauls Nene off, and she agrees to drop the bounty on Boyfriend.

Concrete stakes, actual character arcs, real consequences—that’s more than most mods bother with.

The Name Is a Trick

Here’s a small thing worth knowing. The title makes it sound like the mod revolves around the character named Blake. It doesn’t. “Blake” comes from the creator’s real name, not the in-mod character who happens to share it. Easy to mix up, and a lot of players do.

Who Made It and When

The mod was created by Ven0msGh0st. The concept goes back to 2024, but active development didn’t kick off until August 2025. It’s also built as a multi-volume project, so this isn’t meant to be the final word—more content is the plan. Download the PC version here. It also have the full credit.
