NASUBI
NASUBI: Psychological Horror Simulation Game Based on a Real TV Experiment
NASUBI is a psychological horror simulation game that locks players inside an empty apartment where a rotary phone is the only link to the outside world. It draws directly from the infamous late-90s Japanese reality show Susunu! Denpa Shonen, where a real contestant survived alone on sweepstakes prizes.
The setup is simple. You took part in a controversial TV show, and now you’re stuck. No belongings, no food, no contact with anyone. Players dial contest entries on an analog phone, wait for prizes to arrive, and recycle whatever junk shows up to slowly upgrade their situation. It plays like an incremental game, but the grimy PS1-style visuals keep it uncomfortable the whole way through. The atmosphere carries this one—players consistently point to it as the standout feature.
NASUBI was created by developers FunB4nan and st1sdan as a game jam entry and released on June 27, 2026.
How the Game Works
Progress revolves around the rotary dial. Pulling each number to enter contests gets repetitive by design—that grind is the point. Prizes range from useful to useless, mirroring the real story it’s based on. An upgrade system gives players small wins along the way. And the ending is worth reaching. The lore teased at the start and finish hints at something bigger than a survival loop.
