Zombies and Luig
Zombies and Luig: Sci-Fi Puzzle Adventure Game
Zombies and Luig is a point-and-click puzzle adventure game where players explore an abandoned space station to rescue a stranded pig from gummy-zombies. The game mixes timing-based mechanics with clever enigmas inside a compact sci-fi setting.
Dialobic originally developed this project in just two weeks for NoPoly’s Game Jam #1. The story brings back Mr. Pog. He is a greedy little character from previous Luig titles who clearly hasn’t learned how to stay out of trouble. This time around, he managed to get stuck inside a facility entirely overrun by squishy, giggling zombies. They are actually quite polite for the undead. That unexpected behavior directly ties into the game jam’s “Roles Reversed” theme.
Navigating the Station
The gameplay leans heavily into escape room logic. Instead of just mindlessly clicking the screen until something happens, players face actual timing challenges and complex environmental puzzles. You have to pay attention. Hidden mechanics lightly reference the concept of time, heavily rewarding those who experiment.
There is an optional collection element built into the levels too. Finding all the hidden eggs scattered across the station gives completionists a reason to search every vent and corner. And the character interactions feel surprisingly dynamic. Luig automatically faces wherever you hover your mouse—a small detail that causes some incredibly funny moments when he suddenly locks eyes with an alien right before making a run for it.
Atmosphere and Audio
Visually, the Godot-engine title maintains a consistent, adorable art style. It contrasts nicely with the typical dark space horror trope. Nativica handled the music and sound design here. The resulting audio is dreamy, pulling enough weight to make the station corridors feel atmospheric without becoming too intense.
Game Controls
