CT Special Forces 2
CT Special Forces: Back to Hell, developed by Light and Shadow Productions (LSP), is a side-scrolling run and gun video game for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). It was later ported to the PlayStation by Wizarbox and released in North America under the title CT Special Forces 2: Back in the Trenches by Hip Interactive.
Drawing inspiration from classic games like Metal Slug, Green Beret, and 1943, this title is known for its intense action and old-school gameplay. The player assumes the role of a solo commando tasked with combating a large terrorist force. Gameplay involves navigating through levels by moving in six directions, crouching, and utilizing platform game elements.
The game features a total of 21 missions, each requiring the player to defeat enemies using a diverse arsenal of weapons. Each mission also includes a unique minigame, such as timing a parachute deployment or maintaining position in a moving jeep. Additionally, some missions offer sniper challenges, where players engage enemies from a first-person perspective.
CT Special Forces: Back to Hell enhances many aspects of its predecessor, such as introducing a rolling move to access tight spaces, increasing the number of levels, and expanding the variety of weapons and enemies. Weapon options now include knives and tank combat sequences, providing a richer combat experience. The GBA version also supports cooperative play, adding a competitive element as players work against the clock to secure high scores.
