A Magical Friday Night: Vs Holy Quintet is a rhythm game mod that brings the universe of Puella Magi Madoka Magica to your screen. Players take control of Girlfriend to battle the iconic Holy Quintet in a series of musical matchups.

Instead of the usual protagonist, this entry shifts the focus. You play entirely as Girlfriend facing off against the anime’s core cast—Madoka, Sayaka, Homura, Kyoko, and Mami. The designers added numerous small background details to match the show’s distinct visual style. These little touches pull more weight than you’d expect, making the atmosphere feel very authentic to the source material.

A rhythm game lives and dies by its tracklist. This mod includes four main vocal battles: Resonance, Eternal Star, Vexation, and Stardoom. And there is one additional bonus track included in the lineup. The charting matches the heavy energy of the music nicely without feeling overly complicated.

The interface also received a massive overhaul. You won’t find the stock menus here. The loading screens and final score tally feature custom artwork. The pause menu got completely redone too. Even failing a track triggers a unique game over sequence. Beyond the visual upgrades, recent patches removed several known bugs to make hitting notes much more reliable.
