Lee Lee Quest

Lee Lee’s Quest: A Sarcastic Comedy Platformer

Lee Lee’s Quest is a comedy platformer where players clear obstacle-filled levels while dealing with constant sarcasm from the main character. It takes standard jumping mechanics and uses them mostly as an excuse to poke fun at the entire gaming genre.

Most characters in this type of game stay quiet. Lee-Lee never stops talking. Creator Marcus Richert built the experience around constant verbal jabs and math jokes. Voice actor Joshua Tomar brings the round protagonist to life, complaining about the world and insulting the geometry-shaped enemies. And those enemies talk right back. They roam the map and clearly view Lee-Lee as an arrogant snob. It adds a petty, personal layer to the traditional act of bouncing on their heads to defeat them.

Even the main objective feels strange. The introductory video establishes that Lee-Lee is deeply delusional. He believes he is on a grand mission to rescue his true love, Lu-Lu, from a rival. The reality of who or what Lu-Lu actually is remains highly questionable. Players just have to keep moving right to chase after this supposed goal.

More Parody Than Precision

If you mute the audio, the screen looks completely normal. You spend most of your time running across floating platforms or hitting bounce pads. Standard item collection is here too, though you grab shovels instead of gold coins. The core mechanics hold up fine, but they clearly take a back seat to the jokes. The game rewards you with ridiculous achievements just for playing along with its weird sense of humor. Try standing completely still when the first level loads. Lee-Lee will quickly start throwing insults at you for doing nothing.

The final boss fight pushes the joke even further. It intentionally borders on being overpowered just to frustrate players. Die a few times on this stage and the game steps in. It gives you an easy way out of the fight—while ruthlessly making fun of your lack of skill.
