Moto Racer 2: Classic Motorcycle Racing Game

Moto Racer 2 is a vintage motorcycle racing game that splits its action evenly between high-speed asphalt tracks and rugged dirt courses. Developed by Delphine Software International and released in 1998, it requires players to master entirely different driving styles depending on the terrain.

One of the most notable mechanics is the built-in track editor. Players are not limited to the default circuits provided by the developers. You can plot out custom courses, deciding exactly where to drop tight hairpins or steep dirt ramps. It adds a surprising amount of longevity for an older title. You can easily spend as much time designing difficult routes as you do driving them.

The racing itself focuses heavily on vehicle variety. Half the events put you on heavy superbikes built for paved roads. These sections demand precise braking and smooth cornering to keep your momentum up. Then the game flips the script.

The other half of the events are strict motocross races. Dirt tracks require a totally different approach to handling. Players have to account for bumpy terrain, manage their air time over massive jumps, and try to land without losing speed. And falling off the bike happens a lot while figuring out the physics.

There are 32 pre-made tracks included right from the start. They cycle through different environments like dense forests, desert canyons, and city streets. Weather conditions play a real role in how the motorcycles handle. Rain makes the paved roads slick—forcing you to brake much earlier than usual to avoid sliding out.
