Bubbled Bugs

Bubbled Bugs is a roguelike puzzle game where players drop colorful balls into a box and try to keep them from crossing the line at the top. When balls of the same color touch, they shrink and eventually break.

The game runs through 32 rounds, each bringing new challenges and random choices. At the beginning of every round, players pick one of three options—these can be special balls or upgrades that improve gameplay. If you don’t like the available choices, you can re-roll to get a new set of options.

Each time a ball hits something, it produces elixir, which is stored in a bottle displayed on the screen. When the bottle fills up, a random color ball turns into a pickup ball. Breaking pickup balls gives players rewards like bugs, sword attacks, and multipliers that help increase the score.

Only the active ball—the highlighted one—can interact with others of the same color. Pickup and white balls act as wildcards, fitting into any color group, while rock balls stay inactive until destroyed with sword attacks. Multipliers can stack up to x16, and collecting bugs adds extra points at the end of the game. Reaching the final round earns a bonus score.

The scoring system rewards combos. Each combo starts when a new ball is dropped and lasts while it’s active. The first hit grants 10 points, and each consecutive hit adds more based on your combo increment, which can be improved through upgrades. Higher combos mean higher scores.
