Boxing Stars: Punch Your Way From Underground Fights to the Championship Belt
Boxing Stars is a 2D fighting game where you pick a cartoon boxer, climb through four tiers of matches, and spend your winnings on upgrades. It starts in underground fights and ends with a championship belt — if you can get there.
The loop is simple. Fight, earn money, get stronger, fight tougher people. That’s it. And it works.
Where Your Career Starts
Every player begins in the underground scene. Nobody knows your name yet. The fights here are easy-ish, the payouts are small, and the whole point is to bank enough cash to level up your fighter.
Money goes into four stats: health, defense, power, and stamina regeneration. Which one you upgrade first actually matters. A glass-cannon boxer with big power but no health will get flattened later. Spread it out, or at least fix your weakest stat before it becomes a problem.
Climbing the Ranks
Once you’ve got $300 saved, you can buy your way into the Boxing Club. The opponents hit harder here. But the payouts jump too, so the grind speeds up fast.
Win the club trophy and the Tournament opens. After that comes the Championship, which is time locked — so you can’t just rush straight to the top even if you’re good. Four modes total: Underground, Club, Tournament, Championship. Each one is a real step up, not just a reskin.
How Fights Actually Play Out
This isn’t a button masher. Well, it can be, but you’ll lose. Stamina runs the whole fight. Every punch drains it, and a boxer with an empty tank is basically a punching bag.
So the smart play is patience. Block early and let your opponent tire themselves out. When their stamina dies, that’s your window — go aggressive and pile on damage while they can barely swing back. Think of it like waiting out someone in dodgeball who keeps throwing wild. Let them burn out, then strike.
One more trick: crowd your opponent. Moving in close cuts down their room to maneuver, which makes their life harder and yours easier.
Why It’s Worth a Few Rounds
The cartoony fighters give it a light, goofy feel, but the stamina system adds real strategy underneath. It does more than you’d expect from a browser fighting game. Matches are short, upgrades come quick, and there’s always a next tier pulling you forward.
Game Controls
