Klifur: Physics Puzzle Rock Climbing Game

Klifur is a physics puzzle game where players manually control a climber’s individual limbs to scale tricky rock formations. The core objective is to secure specific target holds and pull yourself to the summit without falling.

The mechanics rely heavily on a unique, squishy physics system. You don’t just push a directional button to climb. Moving up requires actual thought about body positioning and reach. Grabbing the wall means pointing and dragging each hand or foot into a stable position. Sometimes a long stretch works perfectly. Other times, the awkward physics pull your character right off the rock face.

The game spans exactly 12 levels. Just surviving the ascent is enough to clear a stage and move forward. But for players wanting more depth, there is a secondary layer of difficulty built into the design.

The developer, torfias, established a specific best route for every map. If you manage to beat that developer record, you earn a star for the level. It forces you to look at the geometry differently and optimize every single movement.
