Madness Melee
Madness Melee: 2D Survival Fighting Game
Madness Melee is a 2D fighting game that throws players into a brutal 100-wave survival arena inspired by the fan-made Madness Combat universe. You start the trials with nothing but your bare hands and must steal weapons to stay alive against increasingly tough enemies.
The Sleepwalker program serves as the main campaign here. It drops you into an experimental trial where the odds are heavily stacked against you. Dozens of enemy types show up with specific abilities and fighting styles. Figuring out their timing and striking at vulnerable spots is the only way to avoid getting swarmed. And the difficulty ramps up fast.
You begin these clashes completely unarmed. Fighting bare-handed works for a while, but grabbing dropped weapons from defeated targets quickly becomes essential. Holding a weapon changes the dynamic entirely—giving you the reach and damage output necessary to clear out crowds. The combat mechanics rely on dodging incoming attacks and pushing foes back to create some much-needed breathing room.
Character Progression
Surviving waves earns you skill points. Players spend these between arena rounds to level up and customize a fighter’s build. This progression system actually makes a noticeable difference. Upgrading stats turns a vulnerable contestant into someone capable of surviving the later, more chaotic stages of the gauntlet.
Beating the main mode doesn’t lock the game down. Winning unlocks brand-new characters, allowing players to replay the campaign with entirely different combat perspectives.
Sandbox Experimentation
Sometimes you just want to test things out without the pressure of a 100-wave run. Sandbox mode lets you do exactly that. It opens up the mechanics so players can spawn specific enemies and play around with countless weapon combinations, letting you focus on understanding how different gear interacts with enemy weaknesses.
As always, remember to have fun!
