Pulseman (Sega)
Pulseman is an electrifying platform game from Japan, created by Game Freak and released by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive in 1994. It later zapped its way to North American players in 1995 through the Sega Channel, and it’s been sparking excitement on platforms like the Wii’s Virtual Console and, most recently, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in 2023.
Story Behind the Sparks
In the 21st century, a brilliant scientist named Doc Yoshiyama did something incredible: he created the world’s most advanced Artificial Intelligence, a C-Life girl who could think and feel. Doc Yoshiyama fell in love with his creation and decided to become part of her digital world by digitizing himself. Their unique union in the digital realm led to the birth of Pulseman, a boy who’s half human, half C-Life. Unlike other digital beings, Pulseman doesn’t need to stay inside a computer. He’s got the super cool ability to control electricity, using it to fight, zip through power lines, and even teleport with something called Volteccer.
But there’s a twist! Doc Yoshiyama’s long time in the digital world changed him. He turned into Doc Waruyama, a villain who stepped back into the human world with a twisted mind and evil plans. He formed the Galaxy Gang and started spreading cyber-terror. Now, it’s up to Pulseman, the electric hero, to stop his own father and the Galaxy Gang to keep the world safe and free.
