Gecko Runner

Gecko Runner is a playful and imaginative game fanmade game based on pixelated dino from the chrome no internet connection screen. Developed by Sealestial Games for the GMTK 2024 game jam, themed “BUILT TO SCALE”. Players control a gecko, tasked with entertaining users during internet outages by pretending to be a dinosaur. The gameplay involves dynamic challenges such as scaling the gecko’s shadow to avoid obstacles and dodging studio meteors. With its cartoony graphics and humorous premise, the game offers a light-hearted take on digital illusions, testing players’ reflexes and adaptation skills in a constantly changing environment.
