Retroid

Retroid is a fan-made remake of the original Metroid (NES) built using Super Metroid’s engine. Created by ProjectXVIII in 2016, it keeps the same map layout but adjusts some mechanics to match the simpler NES gameplay—players can’t run or wall-jump like in Super Metroid. The game also adds new bosses like Botwoon and Bomb Torizo for extra challenge. While not an exact copy, Retroid gives players a familiar adventure with some modern tweaks.
